The Web-Based Client Interview

Coming Soon to Best Case® Bankruptcy

Preparing Forms Is a Snap.

Leave it to Best Case to make it even easier to prepare forms for your bankruptcy cases. With our web interview, coming soon, your clients can log into the MyCaseInfo.com web site and enter their case information, saving you time and allowing you to focus on the legal issues. We’ll let you know when data is waiting, and you’ll quickly transfer the case to a new client file in Best Case Bankruptcy.

We know you expect a lot from Best Case.

We didn’t get to be the most popular bankruptcy software by accident! We listen to you, and with each new release, we’ve incorporated your suggestions to make Best Case more powerful, flexible, and easier to use. When we decided to tackle a web-based client interview, we decided to design and create it ourselves to assure that we could provide you with a top-notch solution that dovetails with Best Case Bankruptcy. By maintaining control of the development process, we’ll be more able to make improvements to the interview based on feedback from you, our users.

We’re the company that sweats the details.

We know that debtors will give you the best, most complete answers if they can easily follow the interview and understand the questions. We think that investing the time and effort to build a simple, streamlined interface for your clients is time well spent. We’re developing our client interview with the same high level of quality, the same attention to detail, as we did our bankruptcy software. MyCaseInfo.com will be a very thorough interview, asking questions for the Voluntary Petition, all property and creditor schedules, the Statement of Financial Affairs, income, expenses, and leases. To ensure completeness, the debtor must visit every question, checking a “none” box when there is no information to report.

Here’s How it Works:

  1. Let's Get Started. First, you'll sign up with Best Case for an attorney account.*
  2. Make it Your Own. We've developed a starter page for your clients on MyCaseInfo.com with basic instructions for filling out the form. You'll go to a special administrator web site to customize this page with your law firm name and contact information. (No technical aptitude required!)
  3. Send Your Clients to MyCaseInfo.com, either through a link on your website or by telling them to go to the site directly. The debtor will log onto your MyCaseInfo site to complete the interview. We've taken care to ensure that questions are easy to understand and that the interview flows logically, even to someone unfamiliar with bankruptcy terminology. In each section, your clients can insert comments or questions to be discussed with you.
  4. Debtor Finishes Case. When the debtor clicks the Finish Case button, we'll send you an email indicating that there is a case ready for download. You can simply log onto your administrator page to check the status of each outstanding interview.
  5. Download Case. Before downloading, you'll be able to review the case and let debtor know whether you need more information. When you download the case, we'll start a new case file for you, transferring information about the debtor, his or her property, debts, income and expenses from the web interview. We'll also prepare a special report for each case listing key summary data and any comments the debtor had while filling out the interview. You'll be charged a fee at the time of download.
  6. Review and Complete the Case. Of course, you'll want to review information the debtor entered and add additional information such as exemptions. Then, you're ready to print or upload forms to the court's site!
* Our web interview is a web service, the use of which requires that you be covered by our annual maintenance program, included for your first year.
